VoIP Is Viable, Definitely Cheaper
On a whim, I signed up for a residential voice-over-IP (VoIP) service. It's too early to determine reliability and quality, but so far I am impressed. Net net? My monthly phone bill was cut in half.



I say on a whim because I saw an online ad on a news Web site and went for it (I refuse to buy anything from a vendor that throws pop-up ads in my face – sorry Orbitz, but your pop-ups make me hate you). I read a couple of reviews on VoIP service, and Vonage, the service provider I was eyeing, checked out pretty well. more
