The Santa Fe and Disneyland Railroad

While the Santa Fe Railroad Company is no longer associated with the Disneyland Railroad, the historical significance cannot be forgotten. To many unsuspecting guests, each of the four steam engines that circle the Magic Kindom are named after Santa Fe Railroad Executives.

Engine Number 1 - C.K. Holliday - Cyrus Kurtz Holliday.
Engine Number 2 - E.P. Ripley - Edward Payson Ripley.
Engine Number 3 - Fred Gurley - Fred G. Gurley.
Engine Number 4 - Ernest S. Marsh - Ernest S. Marsh.

Of all the imagineers that worked on the Disneyland Railroad system, Disney Legend Roger Broggie was by far the most influential man behind Chief Engineer Walt Disney. The history
of the Disneyland and Carolwood Railroad is documented in a book by Michael Broggie - Walt Disney's Railroad Story .
