Just Released: Key Facts on Family Foundations|
The Foundation Center has published its second annual Key Facts on Family Foundations fact sheet, which was distributed at the Council on Foundations' Family Foundation Conference in January.
The study identified more than 32,600 independent U.S. foundations with donor or donor-family involvement, which provide significant support for education and health, among other fields.

Annual National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day? As part of the effort to educate African Americans about HIV/AIDS and to encourage people to get tested, the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation and BET: Black Entertainment Television have announced the continuation of Rap-It-Up, the largest public education effort on HIV/AIDS and related issues directed specifically toward African Americans. This year, Rap-It-Up will feature new HIV-themed programming and public service announcements, a film competition, grassroots events, and free print and online information resources.
