Quake-III Arena Preview
Ok, have you heard enough about this yet? Well this is a pretty good interview with John Carmack. This goes into all the details of how Quake-III will be better to handle the shortcomings of ......... Well if you're interested, go there yourself and check it out. (might have to register your name for PCZONE, but it's quick)

TNT2 RealVideo Interview (time dated news, get it Now or lose it)
Here we go again, I wouldn't of posted this today, but....... If you got time on your hands, and feel like watching the interview, You Too Can Submit The Mail to "Win a TNT2" So I guess that makes it worth it. It was a 50minute Interview, the download of the file was RealVideo, at high quality (85K Datastream) 31MB download. Well I downloaded it, and after this I'll watch it. 31MB of data downloaded in bout 10minutes, 50minutes to watch to find "The Phrase that Pays", so 60minutes to save my trip to buy the TNT2 when it's available (later this month?). It's worth it to me anyway. You choose yourself. But it's probably a waste of time, since it's MY TNT2! G'Luck!

Voodoo3 Overclocking Guide & 3500 Info
I guess this is a damn good bit of info here. Shows some good demo benchmarks for Quake2 and results of the 3Dfx's Chip and Overclocking results. It tells me that it will be wise to wait for the 183Mhz V3. Damn, Now I don't know wether I need to win that TNT2 or not! Again, fairly good info if you like specs/demo times.

REVIEW ZONE - Pretty Good Informative Site
Wandering through the news files, I come across some pretty interesting sites. When that happens, I'll post here, and it'll be up to you to decide to bookmark it or not. (My discovered site yesterday was "Thresh's FiringSquad") I usually will not post sites that end up at GeoCities and those Fly-By-Night pages, no matter how good they may look. Hope you enjoy this one.

3dfx Voodoo3 3000 Review
This little number is clocked higher (greater fill rates) and has a faster RAMDAC and is some $50 dearer than its slower 2000 counterpart. Well Read It for Yourself and decide which of the many flavors of Voodoo3 is right for your taste.

Win a 3Dfx Voodoo3 3500!
Well if the Flavor you'd like is a 3500, here's the place to Win One For Your Very Own! I guess you can only Enter Once, wish it was like my old hometown Chicago, where the saying was "Vote Early, Vote Often" Oh Well, Good Luck With The Contest! If I find out You Won MY VOODOO3 3500 I will not be overly happy tho!

Quakecon 99
Following text brought in from the Quakecon 99 "about" page
The best of QuakeCon will be back in 1999. Id Software, no longer just a sponsor, is taking a direct role in helping plan for the event. The added goal is to treat fans to a great event they'll remember for a long time. So if  you want to attend the best LAN gaming event of the year, participate in a huge Quake III Arena tournament, meet other Quake fans from all over the world, participate in workshops, or just be able to play with 0 ping...

April News...
[21+]Elvis
No,  Elvis is Not dead, he's the newest member of Clan 21+.
While all of Clan 21+ may not have had the opportunity to play with/against Elvis, He has met quite a few members of 21+ and he looks forward to meeting everyone on the PERnet servers.
Quick Bio... Elvis is Retired (44years old) and has been playing Quake2 on PERnet Servers for about 6months now. He resides in Memphis TN (where else?) as the name is obviously taken from his current hometown. In addition to playing Quake2, He has been co-working with, and setting up a "Lithium Source" webpage. Any additional input, information to be added/included in that page is always appreciated.

Thresh's Firing Squad
Ok with the massive amount of Celeron Processors, everyone wants to know about overclocking. This appears to be a fairly comprehensive site, and some very good information. Head on over, and be prepared to replace that old central furnace in your house, with your new high powered PC.

AMD K6-2 New (vs 3.20) "3DNow" Optimized Drivers
Available now, this update for Quake II v3.20  continues to enable significant performance gains and accelerated single or multiplayer game play for users with AMD-K6®-2 processor-based systems. (text copy/pasted from the AMD Drivers Download page). I guess anyone useing the AMD-K6®-2 processor should head on over to the site, click on the agreement (standard stuff) and get the latest and greatest drivers. BTW, I run an Intel 450 (@504) and am not responsible for anything concerning the AMD-K6®-2 processor...(you're on your own)

Sarge does it again!!
Sarge won the map contest got this cool name for his map and this good review.GOOOOOOOO SARGE!
Wayne Smith aka [21+] Sarge has a very nice map here. This map was under the microscope by alot of people. A few only voted for this map and not the other's. Well this is what I have compiled from all the votes. Now here is the hard part. I myself liked the map and I agree with some of the vote comments. One major draw back is the Weapons, Ammo, Health......the first two should have had a lot more of each. OUCH. other than that this map is good to the eyes. Some places it's hard on the cpu but only in some areas. Wayne has out done himself on this one. ( Wayne got this in late but not his fault.....e-mail had a problem on my side) He has also stated that if he wins not to award him a prize......don't ask and don't tell. I will respect his wish :( with that this would have been a 1st place winner. It still gets a 10.
Thanks xoom!!=)
