Business and Commercial Efficiency

The Idaho Energy Division's Business and Commercial Efficiency programs are designed to help businesses save energy and money while improving their buildings, energy-using systems, and employee productivity. More and more, businesses and building operators are discovering that efficient buildings and energy systems help the bottom line.

The Energy Division provides technical assistance and training to the commercial sector in energy efficient operation and maintenance procedures, energy use analyses, energy efficient lighting, and building commissioning information.

The programs we currently use to provide these services are our Rebuild Idaho and Building Commissioning programs. Major equipment retrofit projects can be accomplished through energy performance contracting.

Low Interest Energy Conservation Loans

The Idaho Energy Division has low-interest loans available to help you pay for commercial energy conservation improvements. The loans can range from $1,000 to $100,000 at 4% interest for 5 years. Eligible projects include insulation, energy-efficient lighting, heating ventilating and air conditioning systems, pumps and motors. See “loan applications” to the right.
