you know, TransAfrica has taken the lead in promoting economic and human
rights on behalf of Africa and the African Diaspora in the Caribbean and
in the Americas. We invite you to join us in urgent struggles for social
and economic justice of behalf of the African World.

the banner, "Justice for the African World," TransAfrica Forum
is charting new directions, addressing emerging priorities, building strategic
alliances and spearheading cooperative opportunities around the issues
facing the African World and the broader global justice movement.

What
Do Friends of TransAfrica Forum Receive?

Depending
on your level of support (see below), you will receive directly via our
listserv or by mail, some or all of the following TransAfrica Forum publications:

News: two times a year every six months – November
and May.

Monitor: quarterly.

Readers’ Corner Monthly: monthly of the Readers’
Corner book club. In June 2003 the Arthur R. Ashe, Jr. Foreign Policy
began a book club, The Readers’ Corner. The club focuses on books
about the African World with an emphasis on social justice issues and
writers from the African World.

New Acquisitions Resource List: New publications available
in the Ashe Library—produced every two to three weeks with the
latest periodicals and books acquired by the library.

Newsbrief—produced
to listserv once a week. Content—links to articles on the African
World from various sources (African, Caribbean, and Latin papers; allAfrica.com,
BBC, NYT, WP, etc.).

Media Watch: Publication two times a year—January
and July. Provides analysis of how specifically the print media of the
Washington Post and New York Times cover Africa, and
the Caribbean.
