ISAS now has five types of rockets which
are always launched from Kagoshima Space Center. One
is a satellite launch vehicle, the M-V, while the other
four types are sounding rockets: SS-520, S-520, S-310,
and MT-135.
Together with their predecessors since
the 1950s, these rockets have supported the tremendous
progress in Japanese space science by responding to
the demands of space science of the era.
