2 The Society

The Society was registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Acts 1965 - 78 at the Financial Services Authority, with the assistance of Supporters Direct Scotland, on July 16th 2003. The registration number 2627 RS.

The development of the model rules upon which these rules are based was promoted and funded by The Co-Operative Party.

For the purposes of registration, the sponsoring bodies of these rules are Cobbetts Solicitors, The Co-Operative Union Ltd, and Supporters Direct.
