The Nashville Nobody Knows

Well into the week and I’m still pondering. That’s cool. I like pondering. It’s a safe place to construct possible scenarios for future growth and development. What if we did this, what if we did that? So many things to ponder, so little time. Running KYOURADIO requires a lot of pondering, and focus. There’s that “F” word again: focus. Must stay focused!

Last week I found time to go through some old emails that I’d been meaning to clear out and while I was doing this I ran across a couple of emails from people that I meant to respond to. One was more than a month old and all of them were related to various music projects that I wanted KYOURADIO to get involved with. The reason I originally got into radio was for the music and here were a few projects that I thought were worthwhile enough to consider and they’d fallen between the cracks. Still pondering ways to keep this from happening again.

As with anything new, unique and untried it’s almost always a case of trial and error. The trial part is fun. Everyday I deal with digital technology, automation systems, staging servers, ftp gateways and a very determined group of people, who don’t care about what you can and cannot do on radio. There are no rules here and the result, in many cases, is revolutionary. I’ve worked at a couple of dot com start-ups so I’m very familiar with the sensation of standing in the eye of the storm, but this time the feeling is magnified significantly because I consider KYOURADIO the ultimate start-up.

However this is still radio and as is the case with any media experience it’s still about the content: in that respect KYOURADIO is no different. If I want you to listen, I need to have something for you to listen to. If I’m excited about a new music or talk program from South Africa, New York City, or Saipan I’d like to be able to share that excitement. So that’s what I’ve been pondering. KYOURADIO is a unique one of a kind experience that requires some quality pondering.

Hope you enjoyed your weekend and stay tuned because there will always be more podcasts to broadcast.
