Sniffer dogs at KLCC LRT station?

A Little Bird, who is a LRT commuter, told me that police with sniffer dogs were doing a frentic search at the KLCC Putraline station around 09:00hr this morning.

Several trains just zoomed past KLCC without stopping, while the loudspeaker hailed: "Train not in service".

Is it just a drill?

Still paying parking fees after 6pm?

I went to witness the auspicious celebration of 9th God festival in Bachang, Melaka. There were some shop lots nearby with car parks that I never experience paying any parking fees in my life. My friend parked there and met a fat Malay man with a small kid requesting for RM2 parking fee. I am sure you think this is common especially in the KL but it is more acceptable to me or applies only for private car parks.

My friend reluctantly handed RM 2 but at the same time, complained that "the attendant" should not do that without authorisation, not owning the land. The man merely answered "You do not need to bother who let me do this or whether I own this place. You must be new here. I take care of the car parks at this time every year. If you are not willing to pay, take your money and move away." I know in fact that we can act up to the point by reporting to the municipal and police.

This kind of threat is everywhere. If you do not pay, you face higher risk of your car being sabotaged? Is that the case? Generally, that is the idea.

How many of you pay and think it is only RM2? How many of you refused and still feel secured enough to leave your car there? This is gangsterism provided we are parking in a private places. It is so hilarious because in private parking area, the authorised personnel collecting parking fees instead risked being battered collecting their worth.

The illegal "parking attendants" are free to sit and collect money effortless. (rolling eyes). If I face them with a group of friends, I do not bother them. No RM2. Nothing. If I am alone, do you think I have a choice? I need to decide between RM2 and thousands of ringgit (the car).

Canary: Am I missing something? I don't seem to be able to connect the sniffer dogs case with the parking problem in Melaka.

I hope in real emergency they shutdown the entire LRT line instead. You won't know where the real target is.

It was an exercise. Announced over the last couple of days in KLCC.

it could be a mock session, it may not be a mock session but the session at Wisma Tan&Tan; is real today! Sirens blaring at about 4pm and everyone was asked to vacate the building, the last incident there was also a commmotion but no one was asked to cabut..........from my observation the occupant thought it was funny and many lingered around the lobby to see what was going to happen, cops was chatting with passer by, many looked as if they didn't know what to do at all hahaahahahaha

Remember London. They had the same drill too. After 7 days (if i'm not wrong), they were attacked.

And going by what happened there, I will be very, very afraid.....
