The Short and Skinny
In as plain a language as possible, here is the upgrade policy for every commercial (i.e. "non-free") Freshly Squeezed Software software:
All "same-generation" upgrades are free. All next-generation upgrades are available at a discount of no less than 50%.
If you buy 1.0.2, all 1.x upgrades are free, and if version 2.0 costs $49 to new users, it will cost at most $24.50 to you. The same holds true for the 2.x - 3.x leaps and all major leaps thereafter. In other words, you only pay when the first number changes, and only your first purchase of that product is full price.
