2000-01: Started 22 games senior season...was NU's only true center on the roster...made 26 of his last 43 shots (60.5 percent) on the year...didn’t foul out once last season, but reached five fouls seven times in fewer minutes; averaged 20.7 minutes per game in 1999-2000 and averaged 19.4 senior season...the last time an NU player fouled out more in a season was Barry Abercrombie, who did it eight times in the 1989-90 season...recorded 42 blocks, fourth-best season total in NU history...had 72 blocks in his two-year NU career, good for fifth on NU’s all-time list...averaged 3.0 blocks over the final three games of the regular season.
1999-2000: Played in 27 games, starting nine...became the first Northeastern newcomer since Rah-Shun Roberts to reach double-figures in scoring in first ever four games...had 10 points and five boards in collegiate debut against St. Bonaventure Nov. 19...scored 14 points at Duquesne Nov. 23...had three blocks at UNC Greensboro Nov. 27...had 13 points, seven rebounds and three blocks against Navy Dec. 2...had 10 points and two steals against St. Peter’s Dec. 8...had 15 points with four rebounds, four assists and two blocks at Drexel Jan. 2.; had 11 of his 15 points in the second half on 4-5 shooting...had eight points and five boards at Hartford Jan. 23...had 11 points, four rebounds, three assists and two blocks against Brown Jan. 25....had 12 points on 5-8 shooting to go with four rebounds, two assists and two blocks against Drexel Jan. 3-0...had 13 points on 5-8 from the field to go with a pair of assists at Maine Feb. 13...had eight points at Towson Feb. 10...pulled down season-high nine rebounds at Delaware Feb. 12...had seven points and five rebounds against BU Feb. 15...grabbed eight rebounds, blocked three shots and had four steals against Hartford Feb. 17...tied season-high 15 points, on 7-11 shooting, to go with six rebounds against Maine Feb. 24.; hit a jumper in final minute of regulation to tie the game at 57 and send it into overtime.
Before NU: Played three years of basketball at Ozel Buyuk Lise High School in Turkey...was a member of the Turkish Junior National Team...spent the past two seasons at Bunker Hill Community College under head coach Christopher Jones...in two seasons, the team went 49-11 and captured a pair of National Small College New England Championships...named Team MVP and first team National Small College All-American in 1997-98 after averaging 23.3 points, 11.0 rebounds and 8.2 blocks per game...selected NSCAA All-American honorable mention in 1998-99 season...averaged 18.9 points, 13.6 rebounds and 6.9 blocks...scored over 1000 points and grabbed more than 700 rebounds in career at Bunker Hill.
