This camera is EASY to use, has a lot of shooting modes and takes very CLEAR pictures (I disagree with the Awful review). The price is very good to and you get more for your money compared to the other expensive brands at this 4.0 megaplex. It is the size of a deck of cards and is durable. One of my friends said that all the architects and engineers uses only Kodak digital cameras on the field because they are durable, take good pictures and you get more for your money. I agree. My wife and I have two children that are constant sources of photogenic opportunity. We have a 35mm Pentax ZX-7 SLR camera that we've used to get great quality pictures, and a mini tape camcorder for video moments. We've found ourselves lately in need of a quick convenient way to capture high quality pictures and video on the fly. This is a good camera from 100 feet. I took it to a sporting event and got good quality pictures from a little more than 150 feet. It's good buy on a budget and takes as good, if not better picture than the Sony I had. (More)

I did a lot of researach and decided on a Kodak. I decided to take my chances on the new C340. I got the camera and Series 3 printer dock for my birthday. It is so easy to use, and I have had no battery problems because I use the rechargable batteries that come with the dock (which automatically charges the batteries). I took the camera/dock on vacation with me and was able to print pictures for my family the same day! I also print pictures on my home printer. The camera takes very clear pictures and the editing features on the camera are great. The different modes are explained right on the screen so there is no way to make a mistake. I have taken about 100 pictures so far and am so happy with my choice! Even my husband is suprised at the quality of the pictures. This is my first digital camera and I couldn't be happier. (More)

I went to wal-mart shopping for a digital camera, not having any idea what to buy ,since I've never owned a digital camera before. The lady at the counter told me that she would reccomend a kodak easyshare, at first I tried a cd33, I was not happy at all with that one so I returned it and got a z700, it was a very good investment. The pictures are great, easy to use, action shots are great, I can even get great shots in the dark, it has several different settings to chose from. I love this camera and would highly reccomend it for any one from beginner to professional. (More)

When I started shopping for a digital camera, I wanted one that was easy to use; was simple to download to my computer; and did not cost an arm and a leg. So when I found this Kodak camera I bought it, because (A) Kodak is a name that I have learned to trust over the years when it comes to cameras. Matter of fact, the first camera I owned was Kodak and I LOVED it. Shortly after purchasing the camera I discovered that they also made a docking system that would allow me to download my pictures with just one touch of a button, and so now it takes me all of a minute to download the pictures into my computer. I own 4 digital cameras and 3 35mm cameras. The last two digitals have been Kodaks and I plan on sticking with them. My other Kodak is a 5mp 4530. It is a great point and shoot camera. My 'complaints' with it are only a 3x optical zoom (forget digital zooms), and aggressive file compression. The 7590 is pretty much EXACTLY what I'd put in a camera, if I were designing one. The 10x zoom is the equivalent of a 38-380mm 35mm SLR lens. It is sharp throughout the zoom range. You have to be steady (a mini tripod is good at 10x), so image stabilization would be the only feature that I'd add. Kodak has added a 'fine' compression mode, which solves my complaint about the 4530 and the 6490. It isn't RAW, but it is excellent. In the standard compression mode, a 256meg card gives you 159 pictures. In the fine mode, you get 74 pictures. This less aggressive compression gives you sharper pictures. I reside in mainland Europe. I bought KODAK EasyShare Z7590 in June 2005. I have used a Canon AE-1 program with normal and telephoto 27-105mm lenses for the last 25 years. I have also used a digital HP C-20 1Mpxl. since 1999. I used to shoot on ASA100, 400 Kodak and Agpha films and on ASA60, 100 Agpha & Kodak slides. I mainly shoot portraits, landscape, close-ups. I consider myself an advanced amateur. I have been waiting for digital SLRs to become cheaper as I did not want to reconsile my photo taking. I used HP C-20 for computer images only and therefore I carried both the Canon and the HP with me on trips. What I liked in Kodak z7590 when I first read the specifications was its 10x zoom lense and its full auto and manual buttons. Theoretically it can not focus manually, however the auto focus motor along with the use of the zoom button have the same effect. Terrific camera for the price. Paid $199 and feel this was a great bargain. Photos are so clear and sharp. I added a memory card because I take alot of shots at a time. Most of my editing is done in IPhoto or Photoshop, and haven't loaded Kodak software. It is plug and easy download. Wonderfully simple to operate and share photos. (More)
