Served as corps officer and in editorial work in Canada; Chaplain with Canadian forces overseas (1940 - 1943); Senior Representative Canadian Red Shield Services Overseas (1943 - 1945); in Canada, as Divisional Commander (1945 - 1954), Field Secretary (1954 - 1957) and Chief Secretary (1957 - 1960); East Africa as Territorial Commander (1960 - 1962); Training Principal, International Training College (1962 - 1967); Canada and Bermuda as Territorial Commander (1967 - 1974). Order of Canada (1976); Hon LLD; Hon DD (Yonsei).
