Jean Shepherd Finally Enters Radio Hall Of Fame!

ON November 4th, 2005 the people of Hammond, Indiana and fans from all around, came together to honor our most famous citizen, Jean Shepherd -- Radio Legend, author, humorist, filmmaker, television host -- was inducted into the Radio Hall Of Fame!
To celebratethis honor in true Hammond-style-- We had a night of bowling, Polish Sausage& Sauerkraut, and all things Jean Shepherd!
Our sincere thanks to all who attended and supported the preservation of Jean Shepherd's life and work!

ON Novmber 5th, 2005 Jean Shepherd is officially inducted into the Radio Hall Of Fame during a elegant awards cermony broadcast around the country. He was one of six radio legends honored at the gala. The event was held at Chicago's Renaissance Hotel, and Regis Philbin presented the honor in Jean Shepherd's memory.

Jean Shepherd, Hammond's Most Famous Resident, is about to have bestowed upon him the greatest honor that any broadcaster could ask. On November 5th, at a star studded gala in Chicago, Jean Shepherd will be inducted into 'The Radio Hall Of Fame'. It's going to be big, black tie afair, hosted by Regis Philbin, and costing a whopping $500 per person to attend. (http://www.radiohof.org/)

For those of us who don't own a tux, we're celebrating this exciting event on Friday Night, Novemeber 4th in Hammond-- Jean Shepherd's hometown--, at the classic Stardust Bowl (Did Jean Shepherd bowl there? Maybe.)
