The
mission of the Lompoc Airport is to provide an aerial gateway to the
Lompoc Valley. The airport will support the requirements of the commercial
and recreational user and will promote economic development and assist
in expanding tourism.
The Lompoc Airport is financially self-sufficient. No general fund
monies are contributed. Federal and state grants for capital improvements
are derived from aviation user-fees, not general taxes.
The Lompoc
Airport is situated in the western part of Santa Barbara County. The
airport is located on the City of Lompoc's north side and on the south
bank of the Santa Ynez River, west of State Highway 1.
