Region Milne Bay Province, southeast tip of Goodenough Island and west Fergusson Island, Bolubolu District.

Comments 72% lexical similarity with Iduna (closest). 50% monolingual. Others use Dobu as second language. Bwaidoka speakers consider Iduna to be a less important language. Half of the children are in school. Trade language. Literacy rate in first language: 75% to 100%. Literacy rate in second language: 50% to 75%. Bible portions 1934-1994.
