The Appalachian Media Access Center is a not-for-profit organization
dedicated to providing the people of Appalachian Ohio
with free access to tools necessary for the creation
and communication of electronic expression.

We are home to Athens Public Access,
which can be seen on Athens' Time Warner Cable channel 23.
For more information on community access,
contact the Alliance for Community Media.

In order for community users to create programming,
we offer training classes on our cameras, editing stations, and studio,
as well as computer classes.

We also offer free computer usage to anyone in the community,
including internet access, word processing, and games.

Our audio studio is currently under construction,
but we are working on providing more audio production capabilities soon.

Some of our equipment includes Digital 8 camcorders,
iMovie, Adobe Premiere, and Final Cut Pro editing programs,
Blaster PC and Cool Edit audio editors;
we run on iMac and PC computers.
