The Arie and Ida
Crown Memorial (AICM) supports programs that offer
opportunities to the disadvantaged, strengthens the bond of
families, and improves the quality of people’s lives. As a
general rule, the Foundation funds organizations that serve
the greater Chicago area as well as organizations that serve
the broader Jewish community.
In the tradition of its Founders, a core purpose of AICM
is to bolster the Jewish community. Special emphasis is placed
on programs offering assistance to the disenfranchised,
promoting Jewish education, fortifying the family unit,
strengthening Jewish culture, identity, and tradition, and
assisting people in transition.In the spirit of social
responsibility, AICM also supports philanthropic organizations
that serve Chicago’s most vulnerable residents. The Foundation supports organizations in the areas of:
- Arts and Culture, concentrating on educational and
enrichment programs for youth;
- Civic Affairs;
- Education;
- Health, stressing access to services, hospice and health
promotion; and,
- Human Service, focusing on programs which offer
assistance for children and families.
