that brings young talented scientists into its diverse and interactive research community. Deadline for nomination: March 1, 2006.
At its December 15 meeting, the SDB Board of Directors selected the 2006 SDB Award winners:

- Developmental Biology-SDB Lifetime Achievement Award: John Gerhart of UC Berkeley, for his lifetime contributions in early development of vertebrates and continuing support for students and junior investigators.
