Cavalry
MONUMENTS AND MARKERS
on the
Gettysburg Battlefield
INDEX
Every Cavalry Monument and
Marker in and around the Gettysburg Battlefield is listed and pictured
here. Where available, a capsule history of the particular unit is also
included, as well as the location of the Monument. For detailed histories
of the units in Buford's command, see the Unit
Histories pages.
The Gettysburg Battlefield is one of the world's true sculpture gardens.
The visitor will see ponderous works of art here, beautifully memorializing
units and participants.
If you haven't visited this or any other battlefield yet, I hope these photos
will begin encouraging you to make a trip and see these wonderful works for
yourself!
