and more windy conditions, Theodore Potter (Silver Springs, FL)
fired a three-under par 69 in the second round of the PGM Classic at
Perdido Bay Golf and Lodging over the 7072 yard, par 72 Perdido Bay
Golf Club and stands at nine-under par 135.
The Silver Springs, Florida resident holds a
two stroke lead over first round co-leader Andrew Morse (Chestnut
Hills, MA) and Jose Buezas (Bahia Blanca, Argentina). Morse fired a
one-under par 71 Friday, while Buezas matched Potter’s low score of
the day with a three-under par 69.
Nick Rousey (Pensacola) heads up the local
contingent in the PGM Classic after firing a second round two-under
par 70 for two day total of two-under par 142. Jay’s Boo Weekly
rounds out the local contingent to make the cut after posting a two
day total of two-over par 146.
Round Three will begin at 7:30 Saturday
morning with the leaders going off number one at 9:09. Sixty-four
players made the cut of three over par 147.
The total purse for The PGM Classic is
$128,000 with $21,483 going to the winner. |
