Subject: new travel website: Anatolian Fortnight

Hi everyone. I just wanted to announce the premiere of my latest
website, Anatolian Fortnight:

http://edwebproject.org/anatolia

Anatolian Fortnight documents my September 1999 trip to Turkey. My
girlfriend and I spent two weeks working our way from Istanbul to Mount
Ararat. Among the locations covered in the journal:

Istanbul
Ephesus and Selcuk
Cappadokia (Goreme, Uchisar, Avanos, Ibrahimpasa, etc.)
Nemrut Dagi
Urfa and Harran
Van (Hosap Castle, Cavustepe, Akdamar Island, Van Kalesi)
Dogubeyazit (Mt Ararat, Ishak Pasa Sarayi)
Kars and the Armenian ruins of Ani

The website is broken down into daily journals and includes hundreds of
pictures and nearly 100,000 words of stories. The site also includes
local recipes and a pop-up dictionary for Turkish and Kurdish terms.

You can visit the site online at

http://edwebproject.org/anatolia

I hope you enjoy the site. Be sure to visit some of my other journals as
well (Southeast Asia, the Andes, the Middle East, India and Nepal),
which can be found online at
