fading effects and plugins

I am wondering if there is a simple way to fade between effects in garageband 1. the only method i have found is to create two identicle tracks, place different effects on each and have one fade out as the other fades in. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, that's the only way to do it in GB. There are no animation options for controlls on effects in GB. I sure wish there were.

My debut album, "Something", available on CD here

Be careful when duping tracks to fade effects. The amplitude is not "equal" if the cross-over point is at 50%. I slightly different, higher curve has to be created. Also, if you've bought any M-Audio peripherals, "LIVE Lite 5" comes free with most, and allows effects-over-time.

"Hi, there!"

Yeah, i noticed that the amplitude was not correct and tried to fix it as best i could, yet still parts of the sound are too quiet and others are distorted. What are M-Audio peripherals and how would i use Live Lite? Are there any other alternatives that i could persue. can logic pro do this? Sorry if i sound uniformed i am new to this. Thanks.
