Bjork and Timbaland
Bjork and Timbaland spent some time in Studio 4 writing and tracking for Bjork's new CD. Jimmy Douglas was engineer and Halsey Quemere assisted.
Bluewater Records has been spending time in Studio 4 recording tracks for the new Embers CD. Charles Wallert, producer and CEO of Bluewater Records is producing this second CD for Bluewater. Engineering is Gary Chester assisted by Halsey Quemere.
CMT's Crossroads Features Bon Jovi
CMT's Crossroad's newest production featuring Bon Jovi and Sugarland was taped for broadcast in Manhattan Center's Hammerstein Ballroom and recorded in Studio 7's control room. Tom Davis was the audio engineer and Obie O'Brien (not to be confused with MCP's OBie O'Brien) was the musical director. A good time was had by all. Check your local listings for show times.
New Film by Liev Shreiver
"My Everything Is Illuminated", a new film directed by Liev Shreiver. The score was composed by Paul Cantalone and recorded in Prague by engineer Gary Chester. The score was mixed in 5.1 by Gary in Studio 7.
Manhatten Center Productions hired Josh Abbey to be their audio post engineer for the A&E; reality series Inked.
The audio for reality shows in general are usually in pretty tough shape before they're mixed due to the environment in which they're recorded. Due to Josh Abbey's many years of experience and great patience, he managed to work miracles. The sixteen episodes were mixed in Manhatten Center's new audio post suite. Josh was assisted by Manhatten Center's own Adam Haggar.
The Nerds recorded their cast album in Studio 4. Engineered by Dave Swanson and produced by Sharon Fallon.
Robert Miller Scores for Planetarium
Robert Miller composed music for The Hayden Planetarium. Robert MIller utilized the Grand Ballroom with a 45 piece orchestra. Jon Silbermann produced and Kevin Halpin engineered.
Scissor Sisters Mix
Scissor Sisters spent the last couple of weeks mixing their new CD here in Studio 7. Dan Grech was engineer and Adam Hagar assisted.
Bon Jovi At MCP - Again!
Bon Jovi shot parts of their new video "Welcome To Wherever You Are" at Manhattan Center. Director Marc Klasfeld utilized alot of what MCP's has to offer, using one of our recording studios, one of our stages and even our roof.
