Cinderellabration

The "happily ever after" tale of Cinderella and Prince Charming continues for Walt Disney World guests in May 2005 when a glittering stage show debuts at Magic Kingdom.

Filled with sparkling pageantry, luxurious costumes, romantic choreography and a lush musical score incorporating new compositions and several classic Disney songs, "Cinderellabration" welcomes a who's-who of Disney princesses to join in the gala coronation ceremony in which Cinderella is at last crowned a princess.

“Cinderellabration” has been captivating crowds at Tokyo Disney Resort. It is one of several high-profile attractions being imported to Walt Disney World Resort from Disney theme parks around the world in 2005 as the Florida Vacation Kingdom honors “The Happiest Celebration on Earth,” a global salute to the 50th anniversary of California’s Disneyland Resort.

The Magic Kingdom production takes center stage in front of the towering spires of Cinderella Castle, the majestic icon of Walt Disney World Resort, and continues the rags-to-riches story of Cinderella after the events of Walt Disney's classic 1950 animated feature film.

Lights, Motors, Action! Stunt Show

Inspired by the popular "Stunt Show Spectacular" at Disneyland Paris, "Lights, Motors, Action! Stunt Show" will make it's grand opening on May 4, 2005.

Disney officials say; "the high-octane stunt show features specially designed cars, motorcycles and jet skis, plus special effects -- with audience members pulled into the fun. Insiders will reveal show secrets, detailing how stunts are created, designed and filmed for the movies. Filmed images are revealed on an oversized screen, illustrating how the use of different camera angles can add drama to filmed scenes."

The stunt show is part of a large renovation underway on the backlot area of MGM Studios. The rehab includes new cityscapes, adding Chicago and San Francisco to the park's existing New York City skyline.

The highly popular "Soarin'" attraction at Disney's California Adventure will take Walt Disney World guests on an amazing journey over California when it debuts at Epcot in May, 2005.

Lucky the Dinosaur

"Five-year-old, 2,000-pound Lucky is getting ready to travel across the continent for the first time. Lucky is a dinosaur: an Audio-Animatronics dinosaur and the first Disney character of its type to walk freely and personally interact with children and families. After a prototype test period in California, Lucky will make his "on stage" debut at Disney's Animal Kingdom on May 6, 2005.

When he debuted at Disney’s California Adventure, Lucky had crowds in “prehysterics.” He’s one of several high-profile attractions being imported to Walt Disney World Resort from Disney theme parks around the world in 2005 as the Florida Vacation Kingdom honors “The Happiest Celebration on Earth,” a global salute to the 50th anniversary of California’s Disneyland Resort.

Lucky the dinosaur is the latest innovation of the "Living Characters" initiative of Walt Disney Imagineering -- a focus on creating increasingly life-like characters capable of engaging in personalized experiences with guests. Scheduled for a visit to Disney's Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort next spring, Lucky was created by a team of engineers, animators, computer programmers and artists.
