League Playoff Picture
Some divisions are settled, others get more confusing

Playoff Overview: Standings alone do not determine all of the playoff spots in the PASL. Teams must be in good standing with the league, and from a financial and organizational standpoint be able a guarantee attendance and/or hosting of scheduled playoff and/or national championship matches. The league at any time may choose to eliminate a team, because of prior forfiets or financial obligations not being met. Playoff games listed below may still have teams, not meeting the requirements, substituted.
Northwest:  Wenatchee goes 10-0 with double header, 1 goal, road wins over Hillsboro and Salem. Wenatchee will host the fourth seed Salem on Saturday February 25th, game time TBA. Hillsboro travels to the Central Oregon Steelheaders February 11th to determine who will host their 2nd and 3rd place playoff match-up on Saturday February 25th. Tacoma Stars were suspended from the 2006 playoffs.
New England: The Mass Aztecs top the NY Shockers 6-5 in New York to assure themselves of home field advantage for the New England Championship. The Aztecs will host the fourth seeded Springfield Legend February 11th game time TBA. The NY Shockers will host Bay State Select February 11th at 5:00pm. CT Pythons were suspended from the 2006 playoffs.
South Central: The Duncanville Revolution finished their season with a perfect 8-0 record, and will be hosting the late charging Tulsa Roughnecks on Saturday February 11th, game time TBA. The DFW Tornado will host their cross town rival Rockwall Raptors Saturday February 11th, game time TBA.
Pacific: FC Sacramento will clinch home field advantage throughout the playoffs with a win over CV United next week. CV United, Sonoma SOL and the Chico Bigfoot are still battling for 2nd place and home game honors for the first round of the playoffs. The Sonoma Sol still have an outside shot at first place if Sacramento looses to CV United next week, and Sonoma wins their two remaining games. Sonoma holds the first tie-breaker over Sacramento.
S Cal/Baja: Several issues need to be resolved prior to updating this divisions playoff picture. Please check back Thursday February 9th for an update.

PASL All-Stars Shine in Milwaukee
Talent shows without team chemistry

The PASL All-Stars played the Milwaukee Wave in a special school day game in front of over 5,000 enthusiastic Milwaukee area students. Each student received a combined curriculum designed to combine their interest in soccer and sports with education. The game was a success on and off the field.
The PASL put together an All-Star team from players who played in last summer and winter PASL seasons. This years winter season did not begin until December 3rd and the team had to be put together prior to this seasons PASL opener. The depth of talent that the PASL has is evident, based on the fact, that only 2 of the top 10 teams in the league this winter had players that attended the game.
The Milwaukee Wave is the best MISL team. They are 7-0, the defending champions and defeated 4 of their 7 opponents by 3 goals or more this season. "It is a testiment to the talent we have in the PASL" stated coach Alex Monnar. "We brought this group of players together, practiced for 2 hours and were competitive with the best indoor team in the country."
Make no mistake the Wave was the best team on the field in the 9-2 result. However, the PASL players provided plenty of excitement and showcased some of the individual talent that exists in their indoor development league.
"We were very excited about the result of this event and would like to do two games like this next season." Stated Mike Lafferty Milwaukees Chief Operating Officer.

Game Stats: First Quarter Milwaukee Goal: Mesanovic (Rivllow), Milwaukee Goal: Selaidopoulos (Hewerton), PASL Goal: Gabriel Itsen (Nate Heatherington), Milwaukee Goal: Blake (Hammes).
Second Quarter: Milwaukee Goal: Blake (Torres), Milwaukee Goal: Hewerton (Torres).
Third Quarter: Milwaukee Goal: Lee (unassisted), Milwaukee Goal: Rivillo (Torres), Milwaukee Goal: Morris (Torres).
Fourth Quarter: PASL Goal: Tim Roty (Tony Kessuane), Milwaukee Goal: Dombrowski (Hewerton).
Final Score: Milwaukee 9 PASL 2.

The game will be televised in about two weeks on GOL TV. Game time and date to be announced.

Week 3 Update
Christmas break is Merry for teams that need to regroup

S Cal/Baja: Gallos de Tijuana faced their toughest test yet, defeating the Upland Football Club 9-7 in Upland. Tijuana was down 7-5 in the fourth before scoring 4 unanswered goals. The San Diego Fusion won the battle of Diego 9-4, defeating the Crew.
Nothwest: The suprising Wenatchee Fire stay on top of the division defeating the Central Oregon Steelheaders 6-4 in Wenatchee. Manny Robles had a hattrick in the victory. Salem Steam rolled the Southern Oregon Fuego 13-1 in Salem. It was Salems first win and the second game of a doubleheader for the Fuego.
Pacific: The Sonoma Sol squeeked out a 9-8 win in Santa Rosa. The Sol were down 6-3 at the half against the Chico Bigfoot. The SOL remain tied for first with the CV Express at 2-0.
New England Division: The Mass Aztecs sought a little redemption from last weeks loss to the N.Y. Shockers and pounded the Springfield legend 8-0. The N.Y. Shockers welcomed Bay State Select to life on the road with a 14-4 thumping. Jeff Lewis, Nick Southworth, and Caio Silva all had hattricks in the win.
South Central: Duncanville climbs on top of the division by defeating the cross town rival DFW Tornado 9-6 on the road. The two teams play again in week 4 in Duncanville. The Arizona Inferno found playing a team at home is much different than having them as guests. The Inferno tied the New Mexico Banditos 4-4 after thumping them 17-4 the week prior in Arizona. Rockwall went to Tulsa and came away with a 5-5 tie in a good road effort.
