Hmong Xiong, I know some Hmong family in my town, with the last name Song. Just because you're a Xiong yourself, you cannot assume that it should all be spelt the same way. Brenda, is correct in that she states she is an American. She is not denying her Hmong heritage. We are in fact American. Brenda is not distancing herself from her Hmong heritage. She often express her heritage in her bio. I personally do not think we need to always be telling people "HI, I'm Mai and I'm Hmong." Who gives a rat ass? Do you care if some caucasian came up to you and say, "Hi, I'm Francois and I am French." We are all the same people. We Hmong are bigots!!!! |
