Jimbo and the Jetset

Surrealism at it’s best! It’s a good job that children don’t think too much about what they see on TV, otherwise this simple kids show would really screw their brains.

Once upon a time, in a land not so far away, a new aircraft is being built. The new aircraft doesn’t really turn out how everyone expected though, due to a slight mix up between inches and centimetres (no smutty comments please!). Easy thing to do, especially when you are surrounded by talking jumbo jets and other assorted vehicles that talk back. Anyway, due to this mix up, the aircraft in question is a little smaller than everyone expected, and Jimbo is born.

Take one talking miniature Jumbo Jet, add a mission of some kind, lightly sprinkle in a few talking airport vehicles, and season with a chief controller that should really be taking an afternoon nap at the local crazy house. Leave simmering for 5 minutes, occasionally stirring in some surreal jokes.

Jimbo and the Jet Set is one of those cartoons that really brings back the memories of coming home from school and plonking yourself down in front of the TV until dinner is ready.
