Guide
Built in 1450 for the Guild of St Mary, it became a Town Hall in 1546 incorporating a Banqueting Hall, Council Chamber, Kitchen, Court Room and Cells and is now a fascinating museum. Many visitors come to see the Court Room where the Pilgrim Fathers were tried in 1607 and the cells where they were imprisoned. A magnificent addition to the museum is a virtual reality exhibition of Boston as it was in the year 1536.

The museum will be closed until 2007 in order to carry out extensive refurbishment but it is still possible to view the court room and cells by appointment. Visitors wishing to do this should phone Joy on 01205 365954.
