I founded The Philosophers’
Magazine with Jeremy Stangroom in 1997 and have edited it ever since.
Published four times a year, TPM as it is increasingly known, is a real
magazine of real philosophy. It contains essays, features, debates, interviews,
columns, news and reviews. Each issue feautures a single-issue forum which
contains a variety of articles around a specific theme, such as bioethics,
existentilialism, sex, after 11 September and women thinkers.
TPM is not a magazine with a website. Rather it is a
magazine and a website, the latter being as self-contained and important as the
magazine. The website is edited by Jeremy and contains interactive games and
tests, a quotes database, a cafe as well as articles.
TPM also publishes books and the Royal Institute of Philosophy’s
periodical, Think.
