Kosowski wants last farewell

Tuesday Apr 25 2006 15:23

Kamil Kosowski has admitted that he is not expecting his loan stay at Southampton to be made permanent in the summer.

The 28-year-old Poland international moved to St Mary's from Kaiserslautern last August but has since started only 12 Championship games for the club.

"I have a contract here until June but I have no offer from Southampton so Sunday could be my last opportunity to play at St Mary's," he told the Saints' official website.

"Hopefully I will be part of it for at least a few minutes so I can say goodbye to the supporters who have been fantastic.

"In Poland and Germany you can win every game 3-0 and then as soon as you lose they get angry. But the fans here have a good mentality for football.

"They appreciate hard work and if you are giving everything then they are good to you even if they are disappointed, so it would be good to say goodbye to them - if it is goodbye.

"I don't know what will happen after Sunday. I will go back to Poland to prepare for the World Cup and then think about next season."
