James Adams

The talented young batsman played one match for England Under 19s in 2000 and was included in the squad for the Under 19 World Cup in Sri Lanka. He also played in the Under 15 World Cup in 1996.

He was named Hampshire’s Young Player of the Year in 1998 and has also played for Loughborough UCCE.

Adams captained the university side in 2003 when he made his maiden first-class century (107) against Somerset at Taunton and also helped Hampshire win the Second XI Championship in 2001.

He was a member of the successful 2005 Hampshire squad that lifted the Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy and finished second in Frizzell County Championship Division One.
