The Maps of Battlefield 2: Part 2 (PC)
Page:   1   2   3   4   5   6

The 64-player version of the map is a completely different story. This version of the Dragon Valley map is absolutely huge. And it's not nearly as forgiving to the U.S. side. There are a whopping 11 command points, and nine of them start out as Chinese. The map is so big here that it extends to the sea, where the U.S. assaults from a dockyard (that can be captured) and an aircraft carrier (that can't).

Unfortunately (for the Chinese, at least), their home base isn't safe on the 64-player version of the map, either. And because the Marines have air support out the wazoo (that's a military term), they can airdrop troops virtually anywhere. So, despite the formidable territory that the U.S. has to conquer, the Chinese only have to slip up a little bit before the odds are even and they're on the losing side of a whack-a-mole game with flags.

Many players overlook the standing emplacements, but they're great for defense. This rocket launcher can be guided once fired.

For the Chinese to hold this map, it's best to be heavy on the anti-aircraft fire and to make a mad rush on the dockyards. Without the docks it's a lot harder for the Americans to get a foothold on the river valley -- if you can hold it for a while, it'll give you a huge lead against the attackers that they might not be able to surmount. But above all else, don't lose your main rear base -- you can't hope to defend from both sides.

Tiny villages line either river bank and are the focus of the fighting.
