Women are active within the Java Community Process (JCP) program, but not always so easy to spot. These profiles highlight Spec Leads who happen to be women. Like all Spec Leads, they took various paths to land in their positions of highly technical responsibility, and they stay busy submitting Java Specification Requests (JSRs) in both Java Micro Edition (ME) and Standard Edition (SE)/Enterprise Edition (EE) camps, forming Expert Groups, and driving the specification development and review effort.
