O-ChibiCon 2005
Guests About Us Forum Contacts

Well, after numerous meetings, the O-ChibiCon Staff looked at all the things we had put together for this year's Fancy Pants Edition convention. We had guests, dealers, music, activities, shows, contests, and art. And with all of that, we've come to one conclusion.

It wasn't "FANCY" enough!

So we're going back to our roots and revamping everything. And when I say 'roots', I mean it. We're going to the streets of Houston, Texas (and surrounding areas) for new ideas and activities for our convention. We're not going to be another cookie cutout of other conventions. Rest assured you can attend O-ChibiCon and find something you won't normally see at any other convention. Houston has a wide variety of Japanese culture just waiting to be seen. From new artists, to new musicians, Houston is big enough for everyone. And our convention will be the new show place for these people.

But this new change won't happen overnight. So we're pushing back the O-ChibiCon date until everything is perfect. But don't feel sad thinking you won't have anything to do this summer. Remember when I said that we're going back to our roots? Well, the legendary "ChibiCon" is making a comeback! That's right. All summer long, starting in June, the original ChibiCon (half-day convention) is going on tour all over the great city of Houston. And it's not going to be the old ChibiCon you're used to. Every ChibiCon will have a special activity and contest. Such as a super special Scantly Clad Cosplay during a picnic at Memorial Park on a hot September night! So stay tuned right here for the dates and locations. And don't worry about O-ChibiCon. Once we get the revamping done, we'll have all the date, guest, and location info right here!
