About Student Village

Student Village is a residential campus of Victoria University. It is located in Maribyrnong, 9km from the center of Melbourne and provides accommodation for over 500 tertiary students. It physically comprises of six individual colleges, however all colleges interact as part of a strong community spirit.

Residents attend a variety of Universities and TAFEs around Melbourne, the most common being Victoria University, RMIT (city campus), the University of Melbourne, William Angliss and other private tertiary colleges.

Any tertiary student is welcome to apply to live at Student Village.

Students living at Student Village come from outer metropolitan Melbourne, regional Victoria, interstate and a broad range of overseas countries. We have had up to 36 countries represented at one time, within our community.

Student Village is well supported by the MET transport system. The MET is a network of trains, trams and buses that cover the whole of Melbourne's metropolitan area.

Only 5 minutes walking distance from Student Village, is Highpoint Shopping Centre, one of the major shopping centers in Melbourne, along with a Homemaker Centre and other major stores.
