From Russia With Love

EA/PS2, Xbox, GC (£39.99)

When Sean Connery finally hung up his Walther PPK, shoulder holster and matching toupé, he surely can’t have imagined that more than 20 years later he would be hissing his way through his sibilants once more in a video game.

Yep, Shir Sean is back, in one of the most enjoyable 007 console games yet. Electronic Arts has left no classic Bond film unplundered in this shoot- ’em-up, in which Bond must rescue the kidnapped daughter of the British Prime Minister. Drive the Goldfinger DB5, fly the Thunderball jetpack and fight some classic baddies in challenging environments. It’s enough to make you toss your trilby on to a hat-rack in delight.
