- Great Lakes Watershed Restoration Program
Several federal agencies will cooperate in the second offering
for a new grant program: the Great Lakes Watershed Restoration
Program. Participating federal agencies are contributing
thousands of dollars to fund projects that directly address
priority areas identified by the Great Lakes Regional
Collaboration’s Habitat/Species Strategy Team. Participants are
expected to include GLNPO, the US Fish and Wildlife Service,
NOAA, and the US Forest Service. The National Fish and Wildlife
Foundation is coordinating the program. The RFP is expected in
the fall of 2006, with awards anticipated in Spring of 2007.
