EISENTRAUT BICYCLE FRAMES

Since 1959 we have designed and built bicycles to fit individuals. We build any style frame using all types of construction. A perfect fit is standard. We get the greatest satisfaction from fitting the hard to fit. If you are five feet tall and have a 27 inch inseam, we can make a road or mountain frame that will fit using size normal wheels. We have done it. If you are a 6 foot 5 inch, 250 pound pro football linebacker, we can make a frame that fits and won't be a limp noodle under you. We have done it. We have made the most demanding bicycle connoisseur happy with the quality of our work.

Some frame options offered include; straight forks (unicrown or lugged), wishbones (cast or fabricated), various lugs and fork crowns, lug cutouts, and sterling silver decorative details. Frames may be, lugged offering classic looks and great frame life; Tig welded with the freedom to join tubes of any size at any angle; or Fillet brazed with the same freedom plus wonderful clean lines. Tubing is selected from various suppliers. A frame's total design dictates tubing selection (diameter, gauge, and shape). We try to cut through tubing manufacture's promotional hype, making our choices based on sound engineering and value not fashion. Most braze-ons are standard.

Significant recent wins on our bikes include, EDS endurance track series championship for Brian Witcomb and National Collegiate pursuit and point race championship for Mike Tillman. ParaOlympic Gold Medalist Dory Selinger is still going strong. Dory won two World Championships on our frame in 1998. In 1999 we will be the frame supplier for l'equipe cheval racing team and national team members Ryan Kelly and Brian Witcomb. Past painting schemes have been inspired by Bamboo, a Metallica CD, an aero skin suit, a custom kimono coat, and a rattlesnake. A special frame was made for a manager of a winery. It displayed a rolling vineyard covered with a bright cloudy sky. Details of wine bottles and grape leaves were in the foreground. A custom tandem wedding gift for George Mount and his bride Caryne Finley was painted thirty different colors. The colors were chosen by their friends.

Albert Eisentraut was listed in BICYCLIST magazine's May 1998 issue as one of "Road Biking's 100 Best". The readers of CYCLE CALIFORNIA named our bikes "Best Custom Road Bike" for 1996. Check the October 1997 issue of the Bicycle Trader for a story about our bikes.

We don't know how the bicycle we would build for you will actually ride and look. First, you must tell us what you want. We guarantee you will be happy with the finished product.
