Export Programs

The Office of Trade and Investment's Chicago headquarters provides a variety of export assistance programs designed to help Illinois companies locate distribution channels for their products and services in foreign markets.

Exporting Means Big Business In Illinois
Illinois currently ranks as the 6th largest exporting state in the United States. Illinois has realized significant benefits from NAFTA related trade, with Canada and Mexico as Illinois’ first and second largest export markets, respectfully, which import 40% of Illinois’ total exports. Illinois exports $13.07 billion to NAFTA countries, an 88% increase since NAFTA’s implementation in 1994, representing some 241,000 Illinois jobs.
