Rossi, Republican Congressional Delegation Endorse McGavick
Dino Rossi today endorsed Mike McGavick for U.S. Senate, calling McGavick’s candidacy “a great opportunity for change.”

“Mike McGavick will bring new leadership to the other Washington, and that’s just what we need,” said Rossi. “Mike can work across party lines, and he won’t be beholden to special interests. Most important, he has a real passion for making our state a better place.”

Washington’s three congressional Republicans joined Rossi in endorsing McGavick. Congressman Doc Hastings, Congressman Dave Reichert and Congresswoman Cathy McMorris were united in their enthusiasm for McGavick, whom they called “Washington’s next great Senator.”

“Mike’s great strength is in uniting people and providing real leadership,” Hastings said. “He knows how to achieve results – we’ve seen it happen at Safeco – and we’ll see him do the same in the Senate. Mike’s clearly got the experience, commitment, and support needed to win.”

“Mike is building up impressive grassroots support all over the state. I’ve seen it in the far corners of Eastern Washington and I see it here today. We’re going to take advantage of this momentum and send a top-notch candidate to the Senate next November. Mike knows how to win, and we’re going to do all we can to help him do just that,” McMorris said.

Reichert added, "Mike McGavick is an impressive, charismatic candidate and will make a great Senator for Washington. He has a deep understanding of the issues facing our state and he knows how to get things done. We need his fresh ideas and I look forward to working with him."

McGavick, Rossi and State Republican Party Vice Chair Fredi Simpson spoke to the press together on Wednesday morning. McGavick said the endorsements will provide even more energy to his campaign. “I am honored to have the support of these distinguished public servants. Their guidance will be invaluable to our campaign over the next year.”
