"Primal Quest (www.ecoprimalquest.com) is billed as the world's longest and toughest adventure race. This year 89 teams from all over the globe climbed, trekked, paddled and biked on a 417-mile wilderness course in temperatures ranging from 50 to 110 degrees. A 10-day limit was imposed on the course this year; average finishing time was just under nine days.
