Dec. 31, 2006 - 11:34 p.m. ET |
Muhsin Muhammad was held to one reception for 27 yards in Week 17. |
Rex Grossman was awful and Muhammad didn't play too much. The veteran's 2006 stats (60-863-5) as a No. 1 receiver have been disappointing, but his performance was much better than that of a year ago when he played through a broken hand. |
Dec. 24, 2006 - 4:47 p.m. ET |
Muhsin Muhammad has three receptions for 64 yards against the Lions on Sunday. |
The veteran receiver wasn't targeted too often, but was wide open late in the third quarter when Rex Grossman overthrew him down the left sideline. There's no telling how much he'll play in Chicago's final game, so using him will be risky. |

Dec. 17, 2006 - 5:48 p.m. ET |
Muhsin Muhammad (6-85-0) was productive against the Buccaneers on Sunday. |
The veteran wideout was a late addition to Chicago's injury report this week, but played through his hand ailment and didn't seem worse for the wear. He did fail to close his hands on a third-quarter bomb from Rex Grossman, but it seemed unrelated to injury. Muhammad should be a strong WR3 option against the Lions next week and the Packers in Week 17. |

Dec. 17, 2006 - 12:10 p.m. ET |
Muhsin Muhammad and Thomas Jones are both active in Week 15. |
This makes Cedric Benson a slightly risky play and takes Mark Bradley out of consideration in fantasy leagues. Benson is still worth a look as a flex. Muhammad has a decent matchup against Tampa Bay. |
Dec. 15, 2006 - 4:39 p.m. ET |
Muhsin Muhammad was added to Chicago's injury report on Friday as questionable with a hand injury after missing practice. |
The Bears have been tight-lipped with injuries since coach Lovie Smith got to town, and word did not surface until after last year's playoffs that Muhammad broke his hand in 2005. The fact that he went from being unlisted to questionable is a not a good sign, and Bernard Berrian's value gets a boost as a result. |
