Raptors Claw to Top of Heap
The balls bounced Toronto's way at the NBA 2006 Draft Lottery, as the Raptors landed the top pick in the June 28 NBA Draft in New York. Going in, Toronto had the fifth-best shot at landing the No. 1 pick, but Raptors GM Bryan Colangelo saw his team's envelope opened last. The Chicago Bulls (with a pick from the New York Knicks) will choose second and the Charlotte Bobcats will select third. The Portland Trail Blazers, who entered the Lottery with the best chance at winning No. 1, settled for the No. 4 pick.
