Programs
Across North Georgia, we serve people in need through programs tailored to local communities. For more detailed information, link to the Action Ministries organization in your area.
Feeding … We operate soup kitchens in Athens, Atlanta and Rome.
Emergency Assistance … For families and individuals, we provide help with rent, utilities, groceries, furniture, clothing, transportation and prescription drugs in Atlanta, Augusta, Gainesville and Rome.
Transitional Ministries … Throughout North Georgia we assist homeless families with children obtain safe, decent housing. Case management services help these families become stable and self-sufficient. We also provide housing and support for individuals with HIV/AIDS or families who have a member with HIV/AIDS.
Children’s Programs … We work with homeless and low-income children in Atlanta and Augusta to provide life-enriching experiences, positive relationships with volunteer mentors, awareness to prevent substance abuse and teen pregnancy, and opportunities for a better future.
Life Skills … We help families and individuals in Atlanta and Augusta develop the basic skills to manage their circumstances and become self-sufficient.
Residential Addiction Treatment Center … Breakthru House, our residence for women in treatment for addiction, provides support to overcome the grip of drugs and alcohol and regain self-sufficiency.
Seasonal Programs … During the Christmas season, we offer toy and food distribution. We offer back to school clothes and supplies. Special camps are held during the summer time. Each year prior to April 15 we offer tax filing assistance for low-income persons.
