Draft BS7671
Requirements for Electrical Installations - IET Wiring Regulations – Seventeenth Edition

The Draft for Public Comment of the above document is due to be published towards the end of 2006 or at the beginning of 2007. In order to co-ordinate our response (which should have the effect of adding more weight to the comments), ILE members are invited to address any comments they might have to Gareth Pritchard, ILE Technical Committee Portfolio Manager - Electrical or to Dave Coatham, ILE Technical Manager.

There are significant differences between the draft 17th Edition and the existing 16th Edition (as amended), not least of which is the moving of the text which was in section 611, to other parts of the draft Seventeenth Edition, notably section 559, as part of the harmonisation of this document with the various European standards.

Any comments should be sent in writing to the ILE Regent House, or by email to gareth@bowden-house.co.uk  or to dave@ile.org.uk
