World Cup Drums up a Challenge!

The 6th Touch World Cup started this morning with a bang as 41 nominated team drummers from each team represented at the games drummed up a storm as the World Cup was opened. Cary Thompson who has been instrumental in the development of Touch over the last 16 years formally annonced the games open to the raising of each countries flag and to a traditional african dancing band.
Games started at 12.00pm under hot and humid conditions with Host Nation South Africa Mens team playing their first game on the Danie Craven Stadium recording a win against Japan 5-2.

Results are planned to be uploaded after each round (technical difficulties have prevented this happening sooner), so watch this space to see how your team is doing!
