Celtic Woman Enters Record Books With 68 Weeks at #1

Celtic Woman has solidified their place in the history books today as their self-titled debut album clocked its 68th week at #1 on the Billboard World Music Chart, surpassing Andrea Bocelli’s ‘Sogno’ for the all-time record at that position. Says David Munns, Chairman and CEO, EMI Music North America: "Fans are realizing what we've known allalong: this is a terrific album with broad appeal and it's resonating with fans all over the world. We are proud to be part of the Celtic Woman recordings, tour and DVD projects and look forward to continued success with this talented group.

"In what is already a banner year, 2006 will also see the release of Celtic Woman’s first Christmas record on Manhattan Records this fall, and the continuation of their current US tour, which runs through August 1. This phenomenal achievement has only been possible with the support our fans have given us - thank you everyone!
