Welcome to rtsp.org!

Our mission with rtsp.org and RTSP is to develop a framework for interoperable streaming media. RTSP is the Real Time Streaming Protocol, which serves as a control protocol, and as a jumping off point for negotiating transports, such as RTP, multicast and unicast, and negotiating codecs off of servers in a file format independent way. RTSP is the beginning for end-to-end interoperability; we hope rtsp.org facilitates bringing the other pieces in to place.

Central to the goal of rtsp.org is to serve the need for a central repository for RTSP initiatives and innovation enabled with this standard, including open source RTSP projects. We look forward to reading your comments for making this a better place for the Internet community.
